Megan has been a member of our team since May of 2003. She started her career with us during college as a client care technician and decided to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. Megan obtained her Associate's Degree in Veterinary Medical Technology from Joliet Junior College and passed the Illinois State Board exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in 2006. Megan is our Technician manager and supervises our Veterinary Assistants and CVT’s, and has now taken on the role of ultrasound technician for our hospital. She also volunteers to host other vet tech students from the college so they may gain clinical experience.
When not working, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband Elliot and their fur children; dogs, Kyra and Penny, and cats, Chesney and Leo. Both of their pets have had surgeries to improve their mobility due to injuries before they found their forever home. Leo is a rear leg amputee and Megan is able to comfort owners of pets who have to go through the same procedure. Megan and her husband also love to travel to anywhere tropical, and also to Denver to visit family.
