Lauren Blankenship has been with Animal Care Center of Plainfield since October of 2014! However, has been in the veterinary industry since 2010. She began her journey as a Technician and eventually worked her way up to be our Assistant Technician Manager! Lauren studied vet assisting in 2009 at Coastal Carolina Community College. A few of her favorite things about the veterinary industry are that how medicine is constantly evolving, helping with surgeries, helping hospitalized patients, and seeing them all get better and go home, healthy & happy! Lauren aspires to one day go back to school for ultrasound. She was inspired to go into thr veterinary industry because she was always super involved in taking care of her own dogs and her husband actually pushed/inspired her to finally take the leap into this field. So, she thanks him for being in this career!

At home, Lauren has 2 dogs; Ladybird an English Mastiff & Jack Jack, a Jack Russell/Chihuahua Mix. She is happily married to her husband Josh since 2011. Before entering the veterinary field, Lauren served in the United States Marine Corps from 2005-2009 as a Motor Transport Operator, with one tour of duty in Iraq. Her husband Josh is also a Marine Corps veteran & that is how they met & started dating in 2005. We thank them both for serving our country! Together they have two daughters: 5-year-old McKenna & 3-month-old Lorelai. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys watching the Chicago Cubs, relaxing with family & hosting family get-togethers.
