Dr. Carrie Kurtz began working at Animal Care Center of Plainfield in June of 2019 after graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year at the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. As a veterinarian, her goals are to improve the quality of life and time her patients get to spend with their families. She is currently working to complete her Fear Free Certification and Low-Stress Handling Certification and she has an interest in integrative medicine. She completed a Bachelor of Animal Science from Louisiana State University and has lived in Washington State, Louisiana, St. Kitts, and now the Chicago area.
Dr. Kurtz enjoys spending time with her 2 Australian Shepard Mixes, Loki and Freya, and her cat Odin. In her free time, she enjoys reading and traveling and is looking forward to exploring the area for things to do.
